Photoshop help - a quick way to change the color of white text?

can't use hue or replace color since the base is white

its alot of text so using the magic want doesnt work with all the enclosed lakes from the A's O's P's etc

right now im gona layer mask it i guess

delete text.
retype text in any color you want??

give us the image , because your explanation skills are lack luster

Select the text layer, open the text palette tool, change color, deselect?

cherub's got it

i cant post it, its white with transparent background. oh i guess i can make a gif

layermask works fine on the text but not on the logo thing, it'd take me like 7-min and im lazy is there a shortcut since i'll be doing this multiple times/colors

Select an area of the white text, then go to Select-> Similar

Should grab the rest.

So you have a flat image with a lot of text over a non-uniform background?

The only thing you can do is retype it on a new text layer and hope you can match the font/size well enough to cover it all up.

You could also use clone stamp/healing brush to "erase" the text (by recreating the background), then type it however you want in a new text layer.

Depends on how busy your background is, and what information was lost behind the text.
