This actually isn't a sequel to Ong-Bak. It takes place in ancient times; they call it Ong-Bak 2 still because they haven't released the official name to the press yet.

December 4th in Thailand.

US release date will most likely be summer 2009.

I'm going to "purchase" it when it comes out in December though, the Thais always get decent quality rips into the "stores" pretty quickly.
 
you should check out the movie Chocolate

its by the same director, an 11 yr old autistic girl (shes 24 but is good at muay thai) that learns muay thai/jeet kun do by watching tv (ong bak, tom yum goong, bruce lee) and then goes to collect payments from mobsters for her ailing mother.

Yea, I have it on DVD, it's pretty good.

The final fight scene on the side of the buildings is awesome. Those stunt men sure do know how to take a fall.
