Mandatory evacuation notices were just issued to residents ½ mile down the road.

if you are issued a governmental mandatory evacuation notice, call your insurance company ;)

nah, some companys provide additional living expenses (ale) to you for a set time (2 weeks or so) if you are told by a governmental authority to leave the area due to whatever.

so like hotel bills, eating out, etc, would be covered.

check your policy though.

dude what the fuck is wrong with that second link there. theres vids of people cutting their balls open and dicks off in there o_O

Oh, slick. That's awesome. We own a second house already so hotel is unnecessary, but if we have to stock the fridge or whatever, perhaps the insurance plan might cover that. Thanks for the info. :)

ya, depends on who you are insured with.
But if you don't normally keep that fridge stocked, and if it is extra miles from work so you're driving longer distances, you could get the food and extra gas comped. And whatever else is over the cost of what you would normally pay in a 2 week period.

So it doesnt cover every bill. Just things that are over and above what you would normally incur in expenses. Mabe if you have to do laundry at a laundry mat instead of at home, that'd be comped.

save your receipts, check your policy, call your agent.

I went through this shit last October. My mom nearly lost her house. Had to evacuate for 2 days.

Hope things work out for you. :[
