yes. Being able to rope units .0023 seconds faster than with a normal mouse is a huge advantage.

They're more precise than regular mice due to having a higher DPI.

So yes, they would be good for RTS games as well.

yes, they do not function in other genres, mixed genres like Deus Ex will depend on the developers.

It doesn't have to be a professional match.

Having a mouse with a higher DPI and more precise clicks could definitely be an advantage over an opponent who is evenly as skilled as you.

I think "gaming mice" are marketing gimmicks.
