The investigation continues

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"NFL opened an investigation after the Patriots complained of loud noise in the RCA Dome during Sunday's matchup of undefeated teams in Indianapolis."

The NFL is now investigating the rumor there was a large crowd of people in the RCA dome wearing blue that were making an unusual amount of noise when the Patriots had the ball. All major newspapers and TV networks are reporting that the Colts might be responsible for inviting these people to the dome. It is also being reported that these people actually paid large amounts of money to be a part of the crowd.

ESPN actually took 4 of their 18 reporters that cover the Red Sox and Yankees off their beats to cover this story. ESPN is also reporting that it does not look good for the Colts. John Clayton has reported that a look at previous Colts games in the RCA Dome also show many of these same people in attendance. Clayton said unnamed league sources reported there is evidence the Colts have been doing this for many years and it is finally the Patriots that have brought it to the attention of the league.

Based on the time it takes for the NFL to look at replays during the game, it may be months before this investigation is completed but rest assured the league will figure out just how the Colts are getting so much noise into the RCA Dome.

Wow, some people are just thick in the head and post anyway...

Just an FYI to you guys with the large flat forehead....CBS said they caused the sound issue. The Colts did not pump in crowd noise.

So fans of one team try to distract the opposing team with excess noise when they have the ball? Good thing this doesn't happen in basketball or it might be hard to shoot a free throw.

I think the point is that the Pats were whining about something that happens at every home game, people dressed in their team colors cheering loudly when the opponent has the ball, and paying lots of money (i.e. buying tickets) for the privilege.
