My brother's friend bought a $900 HP laptop, had trouble with the CD/DVD drive, sent it in to get fixed.
The company that was supposed to fix it went out of business when they had his laptop, so they said they were sending a replacement laptop.
Then when he didn't get it when they said he would, he talked to someone else, who said they would send the $900 he spent on the laptop, and a fully upgraded version of the same laptop (about $2000).
Long story short, the original replacement laptop came in, the $900, and the upgraded replacement...Lucky bastard.
