Half-Life 2: episode 2. HALP! im stuck...

hey... You know when you're in the cave and you're getting chased by the first monster... I ran away from him and i am down a mine shaft now.

Problem is.. The Vortigon above me says he senses me down here.. all i need to do is activate the elevator and we will be on our way..

Now the motor is running on what i suspect to be the elevator... Yet when i pull the yellow lever... NOTHING HAPPENS...


what the fuck do i do here? Am i bugged? is there something i am missing? pls help

turn exactly around from the lever and you'll see a motor looking thing in a pond, you can pull a gear off that and shove it in place where the elevator motor tries to engage

look at the motor. It's missing a cog piece.

Go find it in the rubble and put it back in.

You don't meet him until after you get the scout car, he gives you the portal gun.
