Just posted a little while ago which leads me to believe the below posted story has some merit.
15:53 Syria advises its citizens to leave Lebanon by July 15 due to security situation (DPA)

But there are previous stories posted this week that something big is about to happen.

Lebanon 'to erupt in 1 week'
Syria calls on citizens to evacuate Lebanon, reports say; Expert: Civil war possible
Syria has called on its citizens to leave Lebanon ahead of an expected "eruption" in that country, Arab and Iranian press reports have said.
The media reports were translated and made available by MEMRI in a special dispatch on Sunday.
"In the past few days, Arab and Iranian media reports have pointed to the possibility that Lebanon's current political crisis may become a violent conflict after July 15, 2007," the MEMRI dispatch said.
July 15 comes one day before a special UN Security Council meeting which is expected to discuss the possibility of stationing international experts on the Syria-Lebanon border, in order monitor the ongoing illegal cross border arms traffic to Hizbullah, thought to be originating from Iran and Syria.
------------------------------------------------------------
There's also this:
Two U.N. reports issued last week clearly underlined the growing danger. One, by the secretary general, reported evidence of rearmament by Hezbollah as well as by extremist Palestinian factions and of shipments of heavy weapons across the Syrian-Lebanese border. It said that the Lebanese government had reported seizing a truckload of weapons belonging to Hezbollah, including Russian Grad rockets, and that the Lebanese army had observed four truck carriers bearing eight missile launchers across the border last month. A second report, by an independent group of experts assigned to inspect the border, found no effective controls to prevent arms smuggling and said that Lebanese forces charged with border security had not seized any contraband arms.
--------------------------------------------------------------
And this:
BEIRUT, Lebanon, June 24 — A car bombing killed five United Nations peacekeepers in southern Lebanon on Sunday, opening another potentially disastrous fault line in a country held hostage to violence and political deadlock.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack on the peacekeepers, who were deployed along the border with Israel after last summer’s war with Hezbollah. But suspicion immediately fell on militant Islamists, who are fighting the Lebanese Army in the country’s north. The United Nations force, Unifil, has been on alert for weeks because of that fight and several bombings that are believed to be related to it.
The attack hit two United Nations vehicles on a main road near the southern town of Khiyam. Witnesses said ammunition in at least one of the vehicles exploded after the initial blast.
