question about traffic in the boston area

This is for all you boston peeps.

Say if you lived in Salem had to drive to andover for a job (8:30am - 5pm), would you usually encounter much traffic? does traffic go TOWARDS boston in the mornings and away in the afternoons?

looks like you wouldn't really encounter city traffic at all judging by google maps.

but i won't let you move to my state... i guess it's fine if you're on that side...
 
but generally, in the mornings heavy traffic is in the direction of boston and vice versa in the afternoons, correct?

edit: woops google maps is retarded

but the route im looking at is taking the salem tnpk straight to andover from salem

there is a turnpike almost directly from salem to andover, but your google map cites an address in woburn.

so make up your mind
 
there's traffic in every direction around boston from 7am-10am and around the afternoon commute as well.

but it's worse heading into the city in the am and out at pm.
