Does anyone know where I can get some videos on how to do various lifting exercises? I am interested in incorporating lifting as part of my diet (right now its all cardio) but I am always to embarrased to lift at the gym because I don't know what I am doing.

Any links with videos/pics/directions would be much appreciated. Tried google but didnt see much...

Oh and the best thing you can do is become apathetic towards other people at the gym. I remember when I used to be really nervous around dudes curling 50 lbs. in one hand, and I was curling 20 or something.

yup

its about personal fitness, you're there for you. **** other people, trust me, noone is in the gym looking at you being like LOL LOOK AT HIM unless they are a complete ******.

anyone with any type of exercise experience at all, super jacked dudes alike, know that you have to start somewhere.

plus the vast majority of guys (at least in my gym) don't have anywhere near clean form. For most guys if you see them curling 50lbs, they could probalby only do a clean set at 30-40 at most.

All of the strong guys in my company gym have the worst form. Squats are not nearly low enough, bench not deep enough, putting back muscle and momentum into curls... it's just all around sloppy.

A lot of the guys that are cheating will get bigger regardless since they are lifting more weight. Go figure.

Maybe they're more likely to have problems further down the road, though.

Cheating isn't cheating so long as you still work your muscles just as hard. Hell, people like Arnold cheated all the time, and they were huge.

i think jay cutler called it "controlled slopiness" or something like that

there is a difference between "good" cheating and working out in a way that is going to cause you to injure yourself

I did this once, but it was because the super skinny dude had track marks all over his arms.
