Vacationing in a resort in Jamaica

Haha, I'm reading up on this resort now. Apparently it's an adult resort. Half the resort is clothing optional and things tend to get crazy over there.
 
I stayed in a cheap ass but still pretty nice resort in ocho rios for $550 all inclusive including airfare- per person. 5 nights 6 days. Was a good time. I don't know if I would spend 3 times as much though. Granted the plane and resort would be nicer but all the other shit in jamiaca doesn't change.

Nope. Wife is just looking up stuff on caribbean all-inclusive resorts to see if there are any decent deals. On the site link I was given, it indicated that there is a nude area, but I'm uncovering more and more as I'm searching for reviews. Half the links when I searched for reviews couldn't be clicked on at work because they referred me to nude/swinger travel guides. Other sites indicated that you'll see a lot of drug use and public sex everywhere. It's like a bad '70s movie.

If I went, I probably wouldn't be leaving the resort much (and likely not unless I'm in an organized group)

I snickered at the name and thought it a bit odd when I first saw it. I'm begining to understand why it has the name now though.

In SoCal, porno channels are a bit difficult to steal. I have, however, stolen cable in many different ways in my time. My most memorable cable stealing endeavor involved climbing up to the top of a telephone pole to remove the filter.

Then there was that time in the crawl space with the skunk...

...and the time we used a 50ft cable to run from the box in the street to our house.


After pointing out to the wife what resort she linked me to, she promptly changed her mind and is now asking about this one:

i've been to pretty much all the big resort towns of jamaica and inland coast(jungle) with just 1 guide and whoever i was going with. besides the beggers, the people were extremely nice

until you've been there just shut the fuck up

if they had problems with natives killing tourists there wouldn't be so many resorts there would there


ps: negril is probably one of the top 5 beaches in the world, make sure you definitely go on the cliff diving/snorkle tour. it is amazing.

i stayed at poinciana(which is now called Sandals, right next door to hedonism II)and it had by far the best service you could ask for. no matter where you are someone is always there to serve you drinks/food and whatever

i've stayed at the breeze, the resort is amazing but the beach isn't as good because it is the windward side of the island and the water is far from calm, and good luck swimming without stepping on a sea urchin.

climbing the falls at ocho rios was very fun though.

however if i was to go back i'd stay in negril or montego bay
 
yeah kingston is a shit hole.

But if you don't go to the markets or the gardens or dunns river falls you really will be missing out. The girl and I took a cab into downtown Ocho Rios and spent the day wandering through town (tons of shops, markets and things to see like parks and jamaican history sites). We took a ride in again and went to dunns river falls and spent the rest of the day on the beach downtown. Ocho Rios isn't a real dangerous place if you aren't a fucking dumbass. Some cabbie wanted us to pay him to "take a tour of the country side". Yeah fucking right sounds like robbed at gun point to me. So if you are smart you can wander out of the resort with no trouble at all.

That sounds like when I went to Mexico then. Acapulco was disgusting and covered with beggars and stray cats. The only reason I felt safe was the fact that there was a cop/military guy at every street corner carrying an M16 (and I knew he was there to keep tourists safe).
