Apparently in italy, child abandonment is so high, hospitals are installing dropoff windows for the unwanted. officials say that "rather than leave infants out in the world to die. they can be recieved, and cared for, within 40 seconds after placing the child in the crib through the winow."rnrnhow this helps to curb the whole abandonment issue remains to be seen.
