best way to get scratches out of a DVD?

make sure you get the same colour highlighter as the disc is. some dvds are green/blue, putting anything other than a green/blue/medley highlighter on those would be suicide.

In all seriousness, whenever one of my CDs is scratched and skips, or has reading errors, I cover the entire bottom of the disc with a layer of toothpaste, and then rinse it all off with warm water. It works 90% of the time; swear to god. Give it a try.

edit: I'd believe the turtle wax theory as well.

crayola crayons work best, you can match the color of the disc perfectly

oil pastels blend well with one another to create the perfect colour match

that's all I'm saying, I think you know what you have to do ;)

i will try the toothpaste, because i don't want to spend a hour going to walmart and getting a scratch remover

white out. But not the kind that's already a liquid, you have to get that really really thin strip kind. It's worked wonders for me in the past.

powdered sugar works just like toothpaste, you just need an extremely fine substance in a solution

and you can lick your fingers afterward too
