Right. Larry Hughes, Damon Jones and David Wesley clearly address all of their problems. This, led by the pure genius that is Mike Brown, will inevitably lead to not only playoff success, but an NBA championship as well.

They're going to be disgusting this year. They've got amazing, Mavs-like depth, paired with a defense that is only going to improve from last season.

Chicago: Lemme get this straight ... they won 47 games two seasons ago because of their defense and fourth-quarter scoring ... then they dropped to 41 wins because the rules changed and they couldn't match baskets with better offensive teams ... so the solution was to trade for P.J. Brown (complete non-factor on the offensive end), spend $60 million on Ben Wallace (ditto) and draft Ty Thomas (another rebounder/leaper) with the No. 2 pick? Who the hell is scoring on this team???? Why am I the only person who seems to be wondering about this? Hey, if they can contend for the 2007 title with a team built for 2003 rules, God bless 'em. I'm just not seeing it.

Simmons does tend to make a legit point or two here and there. This does happen to be one of them. However, the fact that they've improved their defense even more so than it had been in previous seasons means that they can get way with scoring less. They do lack that go-to guy on the offensive end of the floor, so they'll be relying almost entirely on their defense to keep them in games.

Hinrich, Deng, Gordon, Nocioni and Duhon can score moderately well, and in bunches, but they will have some issues on offense. Should Gordon become a more consistent 20+ ppg scorer, this issue could be easily squashed. Perhaps they should have kept J.R. Smith. Sure, his attitude sucks, but at least he's a bona fide scorer.

Defense wins championships. We're not going to see the Suns be a true contender any time soon. Even the Kobe-less Lakers made an example of them.

Washington wins, Gilbert Arenas = God with a basketball.

I like Lebron but not against Washington.
