i am building a new computer with 1.21 jigawatts and 2 teraflops and need help.

I ordered the following gfx card on monday
EVGA 7900 GTO (missed the newegg one for $250 by a day, had to pay $280 :( )

And the rest:

Is it worth to spend the extra on ddr2 800 vs 667?

Power Supply:
No clue, want a reliable 525-550W.
OCZ, Enermax?
This enermax was recommended to me, but 15% 1 ratings...?

Motherboard:
No clue, wanna go Asus or Abit, need it to be able to hold the GTO card and be decent for OCing as ill be OCing both the vid card and processor with stock cooling. Advice here would be appreciated.

Hmm, i also need a mouse, dvdrw drive, and maybe a keyboard.

Looking to order the rest of the pieces today. My budget is anywhere between 1K and 1500K, not looking for top of the line obviously...

So yea, any help would be nice, or if you've recently bought a computer on these budget constraints or with similar parts, feel free to link me to your wishlist...

I keep thinking about building a new pc...but keep on remembering that I don't game much. The 360 and the Wii will keep me satisfied easily for now for my small gaming desires.

The cheapest Abit motherboard for a Core 2 Duo proc is $128 ($98 after $30 rebate). Everything else costs about the same as the Gigabyte, which is $143. The Asus ones appear to be cheaper.

do you have any strong reasons for recommending the gigabyte? Another friend recommended it to me as well.

Honestly, no. I bought the other version of it (GA-965G-DS3) for my friend. I actually had meant to order the P, but accidentally put the G in my cart and didn't realize till I already got it. No biggie, paid an extra $3 for onboard video, which is currently disabled.

I haven't had a chance to REALLY test the board out but it's installed and up and running so far without any problems.

I've been pretty happy with my Gigabyte mobo... problem is I've had it for like 2-3 years, and it's obsolete.

Any advice for a new mobo that can handle the new Intel Duo AND AGP 8x? I bought a refurbed ATI x800 PE earlier this year and figured I could upgrade my motherboard/CPU/memory later... oops. So I'm not sure what to do, if anything.

Ive been running Asus Mobos for over 6 years now... still havent had a problem.
Damn, all the rebates are gone!
Got

for the same price as the one you listed.
Also lucked out and got

with $100 rebate... so it was only $228 (also had an instant -$10)

damn woulda loved to get the ram for $228, i may have to wait on ram til a decent deal comes along. $280 is more than i wanna spend for ram...
