A couple days ago I turned on my system to a horrifying sight, many of the colors looked normal, but some of the colors or shady spots are messed up. In many spots hot pink and/or neon green have been showing up. There is no change in performance. I've tried cleaning the case and plugins (carefully), taking the monitor cable out and replacing it in again, restarting the monitor, replacing the drivers, making sure the red/green/blue settings weren't messed up. Nonething seems to be changing it. Anyone have any ideas or past experiences in this?
 
Sounds like you've had a magnet near your monitor, which can cause the pink/purple spots on the screen.

There hopefully is a setting on your monitor called degauss which, put simply clears the screen which should get rid of any problems.
