Wii release date?

I can't imagine them not lauching before/during Thanksgiving, having them available on the biggest shopping day in the US.
 
Some extreme hopefuls are speculating an October release.

These speculations are based on absolutely nothing.
 
Anything's possible I guess. .maybe in Japan.

They did have 27 games playable on the E3 floor.. so they obviously have stuff nearing the completion phase.

[Edit] Also, half of those 27 playable games were either demos, Wii sports games, or Spongebob.

Still, there are some pretty impressive titles hitting on launch day. Metroid Prime 3, Zelda, Elebits, Excite Truck, Sonic, even that DBZ brawler looks attractive to me. Putting my hands together to unleash an energy ball fills me with a sort of prepubescent glee.

Then Mario within 6 months, and Smash Brothers Brawl sometime in 07, Project HAMMER, etc, yeah. Ordinarily I like to let consoles marinate for a bit, but there's definitely enough to warrent purchase on day one.

[Edit] Also Wario Ware and Monkey Ball and Final Fantasy. Shit.
