[guitar] Help pricing a guitar

So i'm thinking about buying a guitar from a friend, but i'm having a hard time figuring out how much it is worth. I tried searching ebay, but the prices for guitars that look exactly the same seem to range from $200-$1200.

except that its made in mexico.
The serial number is: MN9386477
I have no idea what year it was made or what year she got it.

anyone have any idea what this guitar is worth assuming good condition?

I would say that $275 is top dollar for a '99 mexitele assuming it's just a standard. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=516035 is the new version of what I'm imagining. I don't personally like the tele too much.

just ebay search for completed items including "mexican telecaster" and you'll see what they're going for.

yes the range of $200-$1200 is the mexicans are worth $200 max. and the americans are built way better so they are $1200.

dont get a mexican fender, get a used vintage american fender, epi elite, gibson

my first guitar was a mexican strat, it is so much crappier than an american made from a used store that i bought, and also an epi elite
