It's a tachistoscope. In other words, it flashes words on a screen in rapid successing, allowing your eyes to stay in place instead of roving around.

Kind've interesting, but what is really cool is what happens AFTER you dick around with it. Immediately after using it, I notice a temporary boost in how much I could see around the word I'm looking at.

It's neat. Trying using the tach for a minute or two at a high speed and then read an article or essay. Instead of having the page flicker as your eyes focus on different words, the page seems to stay in place as your read it.

Try it and tell me what you think about it.

Sadly, no. But it's still worth it.


I really believe this tool, though not useful for any actual reading, does a great job at exercising your ability to focus.

So if I don't get a brain aneurism from this, I think it will help :D
 
er maybe mines messed up
i put it at 1500 words and it wasn't going fast at all :/
