Computer shuting down prob.

When i play movies that use either divx or xvid codecs my computer will shutdown. It isn't the codec because I was able to play these movies in safe mode, so I believe it could be something running while attempting to play the movie. I get an xp blue screen and then it restarts. I have tried different programs to watch the movies same problem. Any ideas? Any programs I might be able to run to see what the problem is?

Tried reinstalling the codecs?

Try updating your video drivers

Might also try clearing out your video drivers and reinstalling as well.
