I was just coming here to inform everyone that if this movie is playing near you (it's in limited release I think) go see it. It's the story of Ed R Murrow and his broadcasts about Joseph McCarthy in the 1950s. The beginning and end speeches by Murrow are something that every modern day American needs to hear.

Moreso than that, it was when news served a purpose greater than ratings and money.
Journalists like Murrow would be rolling in their graves if they could see the state of news today. (In fact I think there's a Fleetwood Mac song called Murrow Turning Over and the chorus is "Murrow turning over in his grave" or something).
