right
im using a120 and i want to burn a .bin file directly onto the disc, as in i want to see n .bin and a .cue file when i open the disc next time

how do I do this?

if you want to just burn the files to disk as .bin and .cue files you can use nero and just create an CD ISO disk. drag and drop the files onto the new disk and you'll burn the files.

Don't use the Burn Image Option

why do you want to do this anyway? i have no experience with a120.

also, if your image is actually large enough to normally fill the disc, then you will NOT be able to fit it onto a cd as a normal data file because a cd/dvd image contains raw sectors, whereas a data cd/dvd only contains the binary data without the checksums/error correction/crc bytes.

so an ~800MB bin/cue may burn fine as the actual cd image, but obviously you're not going to fit ~800MB onto a CD that barely holds 700MB.

well obviously am not trying to burn 800 megs onto a 700 meg disc
they are about 600 megs
well, ill dl nero and try with that
thx anyway

As far as I know about Alcohol, and that's from using it for an hour, it doesn't do what you could call regular data discs.

You need something that does premastering, such as Nero. Alcohol specializes in doing disc images.
