I am trying to imagine what they could have been thinking -- I mean, entertainment is still BUSINESS. Business that makes money by selling to average people.

Average people have nothing against gays, but doggone it, want to see a fun movie. They DON'T want to see the moving story of sheepherders screwing anally in Wyoming (Dick Cheney's home state).
