BFG 6800 OC TEMPERATURES...

My room is about 86 Celcius near my case, Its usually this hot or even hotter on some days. I live in Socal and in a room with poor circulation. I just did a home mod for my BFG 6800 putting a Heatsink on it instead. My Temperatures are

GPU TEMP: 47 IDLE
CASE: 38 IDLE

Theese decent? Lastnight before the mod around 10:00PM it was 51 IDLE.
 
Oh yah, now On, When I go to NVIDIA control panel, it fucking makes the screen flicker for a second and go black, then comes back, this didnt happen before, but used to on my TI4200
 
i have the exact same card. it is amazing.. i unlocked the pipes and shaders(did you?) and overclocked it and got 150% my default 3dmark03 score.. ie 12k

my temps are..
43 idle
load, i dont know

edit: my generaly overclock is almost the same as you(though it didnt make as big a diff as the 16/6 mod)

the screenflicker happens to me too sometimes.. who cares
 
thats an ok idle temp. You could probably go lower with a zalman cu-700 gpu cooler or a vantec iceberq 5. And with those you should be easily able to OC your card into the 400Mhz range.
 
look, dont listen to people saying how to get cooler temps by buying stuff for it. my case ambient temp is 29-31. my room is normally 26-28
FROM EXPERIENCE, every degree i lowered my ambient case temp, i lowered 1degree on every component inside..food for thought
 
Damn, I just ran CS SOURCE STRESS TEST and on 1280x1024 med/high I got 89.05 then I restared, and cranked the CPU from 166 to 168 and got 89.08 FPS....WTF?!!?! a .3 FPS gain.

Damn, I just put it on 1024x768 all High and only got 90.28 FPS, lol. Barely a difference between the two..... Im gonna OC the card more and restart.

Oh yah, sorry 86 Degres faren.
 
My computer is really dust so my temp is around 76c. load, but when its nice and clean it caps at 65c. I have no problems running the bfg 6800oc at ultra speeds (400,1000).
