i'm really enjoying some of their songs that my friend sent me. anyone else listen to them?

what albums of theirs should i get, and are there any other groups like them i should check out?

Santana and John Mclaughlin doing their religious best. Birds of fire was their best.

Try also Paul Winter Consort "Icarus".
 
They only had a couple of albums before the lineup was radically changed.

I have some shit I pulled of the TV from a show called "In Concert" I should transfer to wav.

McLaughlin has a 3 DVD instructional set for guitar players, "The is the way I do it." It costs $190 but is well worth it.
