Hey guys, I have a question about transmission swaps. Anyone have any idea on how much a transmission swap from Auto to Manual would cost? I have no clue on how to look up on this, as I'm car illiterate. Is it even worth it? I'm thinking it would cost more than I even paid for my car ($3000). Thanks in advance..

cost wouldn't really be a factor depending on where you go for parts, donor vehicle, yards etc,

that being said, you really don't sound like someone capable of tackling a tranny swap,

Probably better off selling yours and buying one with a manual in it.

i believe it would cost close to $3000 after parts and labor.

3k? that better be by a real live serious shop with a pretty good warranty. what kind of car is this?

take it to a shop?? just buy a stick man. Lbour will kill you, not too mention the raping you'll take on parts

well considering how this dude doesnt know anything, most shops would rape him for around 3k i would imagine.
