What do Indians call corn?

Interesting fact, corn was both a chief component of native american diets, and the cobs leftover afterwards were their analog for toilet paper. This streamlined, symbiotic relationship with corn figures greatly into the events that lead to the term "corncobbed" as well as the oft-lamented Sino-Indian War of 1889 which took lpace over a matter of $80 dollars, a bottle of vodka, and a lady-of-the-evening named Gladys.
