She probably died of dehydration first, that kills you before starvation methinks.
I wouldn't have had a problem with the removal if the tube, if there was a living will. I don't approve of how things rolled out, especially since he committed adultery, as well as having to prove to a court that she was able to be rehabilitated, then taking that insurance money and spending it on himself.

Technically it was the dehydration that did her in, and not starvation.
