printing to PDF's?

How the fuck do I do that? I could have sworn there was a printer driver out there that did it for you straight from a print dialogue...

anyone know?
 
you need to have acrobat (not acrobat reader) instaled.

And in the drop down menu where you select your printer you should see print to PDF.
 
i never got the 3rd party pdf applications - isn't PDF an adobe licensed thing? With all this patent bullshit going around im suprized adobe hasn't sued these people.

Most if not all of them are licensed by Adobe to do this. These printers don't have full functionality of their Adobe Writer product and Adobe gets money from these licenses anyway so they allow it.

If they are not licensed then I am not sure how they are able to publish such a product.
