Yes, you clicked on this thread because the word 'Brazillian' and the word 'Girl' are next together. And yes, you were fooled.
The four-tet is composed of three dudes and one lady, none of which are Brazillian (p0w!). Their witty gimmick however, does not destract from their awesomely composed downtempo rock/bossanova/ragge/dance/+ more sound. Each track moves in genre to the next. Can be played ambiently or upfront. Personal Opinion: Makes good social-pot music (to be enjoyed in the presence of others for happy-high moods).
If you know of Wax Poetic, then the fact that each member of BG's worked with WP tells you a little something about their sound. However, unlike WP it's less hiphop/drum and base inspired, and more dance/topcial sounding.
Personally, I don't have many dance/downtempo rock -- whatever you want to call their sound -- records. However, this is a nice transending addition to my collection.
