Everyone from the south just says Coke.


If you say pop you will probaly get your ass kicked.
 
This is how we are asked for ours in Michigan.

"Would you like some pop?"

"Sure!"

"Which kind? Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, etc..."
 
I haven't quite figured out the whole "pop vs soda" map of the U.S. yet.

When I go places I try to remember to say 'soda' instead of my customary 'pop' but in a lot of the states I have been through they look at me like "WTF, 'soda,' what are you a big city boy or something" and only a few have been like "Atleast the hick didn't say 'pop'".

It's wierd, but I say all three (soda, pop, and cola), and I'm not sure why. Some of the old timers around here still say soda-pop.
