Learning to play guitar.
Nonexistant musical background (altho i played the piano when i was 7, and the kazoo from 8-12)
Would like to have some wonderful musical conniseurs recommend me a decent book or two on music theory as well as a good 'learn to play guitar' book

Hal Leonard pocket music theory is great if you don't want to spend too much money. It costs 5 dollars and covers all the essentials.

I'm not sure about a learn to play guitar book. I honestly think there are better resources for that online, like...
