Another valve/sierra question

I'm reading an article over at gamespy. Its an interview with doug lombardi, one of the big wigs at valve. He's saying that vivendi is interested in doing future titles with valve.

how can vivendi do future titles with anyone? arent they dead?

i assume they can still publish. sierra is dead, vivendi owned sierra.

ah ok..well that would make sense then. valve is either about to become a mega game publisher or they are going to cut their own throats. they are basically telling everyone to fuck off and they are going to release hl2 through steam while sierra and a judge is saying no dice
