I'll agree. I just had M$ replace one that was busted... they sent me the 4.0 revision. I don't like it. At least that is what my 'rents are using. I still have the 3.0A :D

But I have pretty small hands and I know a lot of people think its too little.
 
I was not a fan of the wireless mice.. I found that I would have noticeable lag when I was playing games or doing things that required quick reactions.. but if you dont need the exact pressision then you should be fine with wireless....

I might have just have been using a crapy mouse as well.

my mx700 lasts easily 3-4 days on a single charge, but it rarely comes to this.

Just set it on the dock when you aren't using it. The batteries are lithium (at least the ones I'm using) so irregular charging like that won't hurt it.
 
700 is surprisingly good for gaming. I've noticed no extra lag between it and my wired optical. Switching did not effect my already abysmal skills.
