Is there anything that can be done to speed up torrent downloads. I usually use ABC.

i use azureus and have port 6881 open.. i can set my upload to max if i want and still cap out on my download which is around 300kb/sec

ABC works just as well (or better, IMO) ...
The way it works is you get put on a list. Depending on how much you upload, your priority dictates how high or low on the list you go.
The seeds all concentrate on one person (or at least a few). So that some people will get 500kb/s and yer getting 20 ...
If you just wait long enough you'll get'ch0re turn and things will fly.
btw make sure you open a port range (any.. just change it within preferences) and forward it past your router or things will go really slow.
