UO to this day is still the most innovative one on the market. Pretty sad considering its 7 years old and has 2D graphics...

Think you missed the point, the fact that it has 2D graphics allows it to be more flexable.

No developers are just lazy and follow a standeredized MMORPG structure. No one wants to be unique because to them its financial suicide.
