I am looking for a powered networked multi-harddrive enclosure, preferably something with raid capabilities.

does this exist? because I don't see it on ebay or newegg or pricewatch.

(I want to take a bunch of harddrives, hook them all together, and put them on my network, IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK!?!)
 
yah, what Cogz said. You can get them from real dealers and whatnot like Dell, Compaq, etc. too....most run a *nix type OS or a special version of Windows Server...they're basically configurable via a web interface or remote desktop/telnet...
 
yeah, and not just for the NAS array but also for the electricity to power it :eek:

(and if you have the bling, buy netapp)
