Here's an issue that John Kerry and Bush both agree on:

Veteran X
Sanctions against Cuba.

Amongst the new US measures, which add to sanctions imposed since the Cuban Revolution of 1959, are:

the limitation of family visits between the US and Cuba to one in every three years

the restriction of cash remittances from expatriates to their relatives in Cuba - a key source of Cuban revenue worth about $1.2bn annually

the use of US military aircraft to broadcast pro-democracy radio and TV television programmes into Cuba, circumventing Havana's jamming of signals.

Ah yes. Nothing like some good 'ol American propaganda to get people to support a nation that treats theirs like the plague.

Good to see Reno keeping his word and avoiding political threads
1) I never promised to stay out of political threads.
2) A one sentence semi-serious quip is not getting seriously involved in the thread.
3) [elsmacktard] This isn't a political thread, this is an economics thread. [/elsmacktard]

Yeah  we're the only ones still pissed off at Cuba. Everyone's moved on. What a joke. Commies aren't a threat anymore, I don't see what we're so afraid of.
