Bios help.

Im setting my processor to the specified clock speed in my bios and restart the computer. Everything goes smooth untill about an hour later when my comp shutsdown, just like it would if i was unplugged. Now it dose this every half hour or so after i restart it. Any suggestions?

What is wrong with "auto"?

I dont think its my power supply, 350 watts should be sufficiant. My mobo dosnt have auto for the clock speed .

seeing as you decided it was better to not tell us what type of mother board you have, you will have to go to their (mobo) website and see if they have any bios updates available that fix critical things

also it works just fine at lower speeds.

athlon xp max temp is around 95 C.

Alright wtf... My comp and my roomates comp just shutdown at the same time, then restarted. This sounds more like a power problem now. Fuckin dorm rooms.

I just looked it up, its 85 C, stilll a long ways from where Im at.
