i have a switch in my bedroom, that apparently does nothing....but i can't find a place to put any light-bulbs and i know the switch was used to turn on a light before it's inactivity, any idea how to find out what to do
 
Sometimes "light" switches are actually connected to outlets, they'll turn the outlet on or off.
 
no problem. I once stuck my fingers into an empty light socket and flicked the switch, so I know a lot about eckeltricity

i remember a few friends of my were playing halo w/ 4 xboxes hooked together, and tv's back to back so no one on the other team could cheat... i decided id turn the ceiling fan/light off to get rid of the glare... i flipped the switch and EVERYTHING shut off... except that god damn light.
