I'm sure it's been done before.. but since the MAN can't get search to fucking work despite the $$$$ we gave em for new servers..

anyway..

Lets here it. What do you guys like? I'm starting to become more and more of a Cigar smoker and have been trying some different ones.

for cheaper priced... i've been digging Casa Blanca El Presidente or Magnum XL's Non-Maduro. Pretty mild smoke. Box can be had for about $70.

Macanudo Prince Philips also seem very decent. That's what i've been smoking lately.

I've had a couple 1988 Macanudo Vintage... pretty damn good.

Looking to pick up a couple Fuente Fuente Opux X Perfecxion 2's in the next week.

Honestly.. i've been less than satisfied with the Cubans i've had. I have had a couple Cuban Cohiba's, though... which were good.

For a cheap cigar... i was pretty impressed with Montague's. They are from Indonesia of all places... but are pretty good.

Anyone else a cigar lover?

I never saw the point, the ones I smoked tasted all right, nothing special

and you don't inhale so you don't get a head rush like a cigarette

They are embargo'd goods.. but that doesn't mean you can't get them. Hell, i'm less than 20 minutes from Canadia eh... i can get them there all day.

There are the Cohibas from Cuba and there are Cohibas from somewhere in South America (either DR or CR, I can't remember). That's true of a lot of Cuban cigar brands (e.g., Romeo & Julieta). When people fled the country, they took the names. They aren't really related. It gets confusing.

i thought cubans were illegal. but i was walkin by a cigar smoking 'club' in fanueil hall and saw cohibahs on sale.

whoa, plz discuss further

i just got back from tijuana where i picked up 3 cubans for $8 each...the medium sized king...they're quite tasty

i'd like to get some more

I like Macanudo Maduro's. Don't smoke them much (maybe once every other week) but I really find I enjoy the maduro flavor.

Have had one good, one bad experience with partagas. The partegas maduro was very good. so the next week i decided to try one of the black labels. Dont do the same, unless you really like a strong, peppery cigar.

u know that cigar place in fanueil hall? its right at the end of hay market, just couches where old white dudes are smoking and a bar.

Uh, cohiba's are one of the biggest "faked" companies around... a lot of cohiba knockoffs, although they may be made somewhere else.

For a cheap cigar, Hampton Court Macanudo (dominican i believe)

My Favorite cigar: H Upmann Coronas Major (cuban)

talking about the upmann makes me want to light up my last one, I'll need someone to get me more of course.

lots of good brands, and good smokes.

don't know that place since i don't frequent fanueil hall much...but i shall find it

good smoke shop in harvard sq. right on mass ave...plus another one across the commons, though i can't remember the street name

I just picked up 20 Cohiba V's in Mexico, with the intent of reselling 15 of them. 90.00 a box (5) in the Duty Free store @ the Cancun airport. I paid a bit more than I should have, however the amount of counterfitted Cohiba in the open air markets is disgusting, and I'm not experienced enough to determine the fakes from the genuine stuff. It's an amazing smoke, considering the V's are the top of the line non-reserve smoke that Cohiba makes. I should be able to net close to 160.00 a box for the resells. I also picked up some Partega's for my own personal use. However I am a high end Punch smoker myself, typically reserved for the local scotch and smoke get togethers some of my friends from work have. If I go to a casino, I usually pick up a macanudo or two...other than that, I normally keep my humidor stocked with whatever good deals I can get from Thompson Cigar Co, I try to pay no more than 60.00 per 20 for those, and am willing to try pretty much anything. The newest favorite I have is the Acid cigar line, it got great reviews from pretty much everywhere I've checked, and Thompson has a good deal going on a couple of month ago.
