Socialists deserved to win in Spain

It appears that the Incumbent Pres and company knew it was Al Queda and blamed ETA because they were afraid it would cost him the Election.

It is this cover up that caused his own Constituents to turn on him, not trhe Iraq war like the media wants us to think. It also appears they had the Terrorists under surveilance and knew an attack was planned before the Tragedy and did nothing about it.

Just heard this on The John Batchelor show coming in to work. Regular news will be leaking it out in a few days would be my guess.

So Spain was Damned if they do damned if they don't this election, So i am giving them a pass provided they shape up and realize they need more than ever to keep pressure on these terrorists.

Nobody deserves socialists.

I don't know what socialists ruin faster, the economy or the military :(

I wonder why some act as though they are resigned to a fate that was the result of a free and public election. Shouldnt people be giving Spain a hand for turning out in high numbers to vote despite the bombings.

That being said, it will not be pretty losing Spain's support in Iraq, because we need all the help we can get over there.

Don't the socialists in spain want to pull out of Iraq now because of this attack?

I don't like it either, But you can't allow the incumbent to stay in power if he can't be honest with his citizens over such a tragedy. It is always the coverups that sink them.

Undoubtly more is better but no matter how much we have, it has to be mandated by the UN. There is no other way to confer legitimacy to a foreign occupation.

The way they acted in reguards to the attack they deserved to lose the election, however, its such a shame socialists are in to replace them.

Obviously not or this thread would not exist.

Exactly, I found it so odd that people somehow act resigned to a fate that is the result of a free election with huge turnout.

I for one dont know much about the Socialist Party in Spain but I dont think it's meaningful at all to just refer to them as socialists, with a small s. It's equivalent to calling Democrats democrats. Do Democrats really want direct democracy. No they dont, they are republicans, with a small r.

It has been a year and people are still waiting for the U.N. to 'legitimize' it?

The U.N. didn't do shit about Saddam and they didn't do shit about stopping us from invading.

Summary: the U.N. didn't do shit but make noise, as per usual.

If they call themselves socialists they are either idiots for actually BEING socialists or they are idiots for taking on a name with such negative connotations.

Either way they are idiots, just in case I didn't make that part clear. :)
