Anything to do in Jacksonville........ Illinois?

Looks like business trip for 2-4 days in about 2 weeks to

Jacksonville, Illinois

( i got excited and thought i would be hitting florida during the winter)


anyone live near there? anything to do?

my sister says :
2 or 3 movie theaters, Springfield Illinois is about 30 minutes away (has a mall), a lot of restaurants, a couple places to rent videos (Family Video and 2nd cinema), a park, etc...

she lived there for 2 years

Yea sure, am I to believe there's more than one Jacksonville in this country? What moron would name their town the same thing as someone else's town? Think of the confusion!

I drove past there a couple of times on my way to the Ozarks. Looks like a small town.

Decatur is a shithole. If you drive that far just drive another hour and goto Chicago and visit somewhere that has some things to do. Otherwise find a shithole bar there and drink enough to make the local heifers look attractive.

Go to Springfield. You will be really bored if you get stuck in Jacksonville. Hitchhike if you have to.

Sheees, the closest city is Springfield.
You're not even close to an amusement park.
St. Louis would be to the South, but a few hours away.
Bring a bottle of Barcardi Limon in your carry on bag (it's legal to do), your cds, and get drunk each night while listening to your tunes and surfing the tv in your room.
