Renaming Harddrives

Quick question: will renaming your harddrives screw with any of your installed programs?

IE ~ If I change C: 's name from "System" to something else?

I'm using XP SP2, if that helps at all

No. Its a volume label. As long as you don't change the drive letter, nothing should be affected.

no thats just a label.


now changing c:\ to d:\ (or xyz blah blah) thats a whole other story
