7 games v 5 games

So, considering the teams that most likely would be out if the first round was 5 games, and the team that might still be out, was moving to 7 games a mistake or not?
 
Avs would've won if it were 5 games. I don't really care though, 7 games is more, more good hockey.
 
My take:

More games can't be bad, as it lessons the effect of a flukey win or bad officiating. Think about it, the better team now has 7 games to show off its talent instead of just 5.

If a team self-destructs before winning 4, then that shows they weren't that good of a team.

The downside is that the playoffs take longer, and there is a greater chance of injury for the players -since they are playing more games.
