Why do ppl care so much about the % of tax the rich/poor pay?

as if the rich pay what theyre supposed to. havent you seen that snl skit, where dena carvey is impersonating george bush, talking about how he needs to raise taxes.

I'm middle class and i save all receipts, writing off bullshit things like haircuts as business expenses == win, in the long run.
 
Because you can't give a tax cut to someone who doesn't pay taxes, you fucking idiot.
