Posting From Mav:
I used to buy every ppv, every month, every year. After a while, personally I didn't think it was worth that. So I moved to just a certain few, the Rumble, Suvivor Series, Summer Slam, King of the Ring, and of course Wrestle f'n Mania.
I've seen what alot of people think of last nights WM.
Personally, I thought it was awesome. Yes I was dissapointed with the finish between HHH and Booker. As said, everyone was kicking out of everyone's finisher, but they don't let Booker kick out of a pedigree ;\ Although on the 'legit' side, when Booker tried to get to his feet near the end for a clothesline and his leg gave away, that did look real. So who knows maybe the real finish was a less harsh loss or maybe even a win.
Mysterio vs Matt Hardy was decent. Good cruiserweight match. Although Rey did sorta copy DareDevil with his new costume ;o
Womens title triple threat, boring. Trish wins, again. Although if you watched closely enough, that silverish skin tight outfight of hers was showing off a good bit of camel toe
Cat fight was funny. Poor Coach ;o
Triple threat tag match for Smackdown Tag Titles was a joke to me really. I mean, I don't care for the team of Benoit and Rhyno but they are alright. I would have much preferred to have seen Benoit vs Angle II.
Vince vs Hogan was actually not that bad. You gotta admit we were all caught off guard by Piper making an appearance. Vince taking a page outta the Hardys playbook was a tad weird, but hey its not WM without some kinda ladder involved.
Austin vs Rock, two sided on this issue. Rock needed the win to go on with a fued w/ Goldberg, and then leave to make gay porn or something. Yet Austin was freshly returned and he has to job ;\ Poor Steve has to job, his first real match back, at WM no less.
Best match of the night hands down; Angle vs Brock. Like most people I dislike Kurt's heel character, but after hearing about how bad his neck injury was, that a wrong bump could paralysis him or even kill him, I was worried for his safety. Its no secret Brock's moves are basically pick up opponent and smash'em into the mat, hard. Add to the fact Angle lost straight up, fair, no cheating no screwjob. A clean win, and he didn't turn on him in the end, shook hands and hugged, awesome f'n match. Even though Brock's shooting star press fell a little short, it was still amazing to see. A guy his size pulling off a move ment for cruiserweights...
Definitely worth the money, pros definitely out weigh the cons in this one.
