explorer.exe freezing up

and this is pretty regular, so i restart my explorer.exe every so often from task manager
 
im not running anything other than windows explorer and browsing for files, and BAM this shit happens. mebbe too many files in one folder or something? :\

Explorer.exe occupies exactly 0% CPU on both my gaming PC and my P3 500 laptop when browsing local disks. Perhaps you should disable indexing?

britney speared: post a pic of your task manager opened (when explorer.exe is 99% loaded
 
Its a pet peeve. :shrug:

Can you achieve a screenshot when the system is bogged down by its own shell? That might be harder than you think.

well, thats when it happens. and it doesnt respond at all. If i just open up a new one, it freezes after displaying the first node of the desktop tree. :\
