New F-zero screens

i have always wondered why the racetracks of the future have large pipes comeing straight out of the center of the track :/

could be a shortcut? maybe that part of the track you dont go on, you go in the tube? all these questions can only be answered when we get to play. now someone go and steal a demo copy so we all can find these answers quickly!
