Possibly moving to Northern VA.. ISP options?

01-15-2003, 07:08 PM
I may be moving back to McLean, Virginia (22101) in a few weeks. I've browsed through dslreports to see what's good, but it's hard to know who to trust.

I'd get Speakeasy, but I think I'm too far away from the CO. Two options that I think I qualify for are Cox and Cybertronic. Does anyone have these or know if they're any good?

I'm mainly concerned with good ping, and would like 1500/128 or better (and preferably a month-to-month contract). Thanks!

Cox is ok. Ping times arn't that great though and it disconnects a lot.

depends on what type of connection you want. I dont know the exact boundries that companys have, but Fairfax county is run my Cox communications for cable and digital cable. I have that at school and i ping about 20-35 heaven/hell/E5/The wayside.

Loudoun County has Adelphia and i ping about the same.

Only difference between them is that Cox has a faster upload then adelphia.

I dont know anything about DSL but iwould say verision

Better watch out with threads like this. ******s like Calabus and Toast.1 will flame you. And flames are the work of the devil. Therefore women are evil.
